The MDPU is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through novel therapeutic approaches informed by research. We aim to decrease the burden of mood disorders with the use of informed and novel pharmacological interventions.

The MDPU conducts research studies and clinical trials aimed at advancing understanding of mood disorders and its treatments. Through this, we aim to improve knowledge transfer and narrow the implementation gap between medical knowledge and what is implemented at the point-of-care for persons with mental disorders.

Innovation
Our research focuses on novel treatments for mood disoders including innovative new therapies, various new medications and prevention measures. Our staff includes psychiatrists, psychotherapists, practicum trainees and research assistants with extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of mood disorders.

The MDPU has a wide variety of clinical research studies available. Our clinical trials focus on effectiveness, safety and tolerability of therapeutic approaches in mood disorders.
